Expert Diagnostic Services for a Healthier, Happier Pet

When our pets are not feeling well, they can’t tell us what is wrong — that’s where veterinary diagnostics play a crucial role. Our highly trained vet team is skilled in identifying and treating disorders that can affect your pet’s entire body, ensuring they receive the care they need as quickly as possible.

One of the main reasons veterinary diagnostics are so important is that they allow for the early detection of diseases. Just like humans, pets can develop health issues that aren’t visible to the naked eye. Through advanced diagnostic testing, our St. Augustine veterinarians can uncover underlying problems and provide treatment before they become more serious, improving recovery outcomes and preventing complications.

Parasite Testing

Parasites are a common problem for pets, and they can cause a range of health issues if left untreated. Various types of parasite testing options are available for pets including:
  • Collecting a stool sample from your pet. This sample will then be examined under a microscope to check for parasites.
  • Collecting a blood sample from your pet. Through this test, we can identify parasites in the bloodstream, including heartworms and diseases transmitted by ticks.
  • Performing a skin scrape. We utilize skin scrapings to identify external parasites like mites and fleas.
If any parasites are found, we will prescribe the appropriate treatment to eliminate them.

Heartworm Testing

FIV and FeLV Testing

FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and FeLV (feline leukemia virus) are two common viral infections in cats. These viruses can weaken your cat’s immune system and make them more susceptible to other illnesses. To test for FIV and FeLV, our veterinary team will take a small blood sample from your cat. This sample will be tested for antibodies to these viruses.

Urinalysis

Free Catch

Urine Expression
